Principal's Message

Dear Rolling Hills Roadrunners,

On behalf of the Rolling Hills and MyConnect Academy staff, welcome to a new school year! We are excited to have our students and families back on campus and look forward to another year filled with learning, growth, and meaningful experiences. Mrs. Theresa Denges Baeza, our incredible Assistant Principal, and I are proud to serve the Roadrunner community, and we can't wait to see all that this school year has in store.

At Rolling Hills, we are committed to educating the whole child by creating engaging learning experiences that inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning. We strive to provide a safe, supportive environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Each day, our students are encouraged to live the Roadrunner Way: Be Kind, Be Safe, Be Respectful. These values are embedded in our mission: Rolling Hills Roadrunners are a positive, collaborative community of learners who engage in a rigorous, arts-infused curriculum that fosters critical thinking and creativity within a safe and caring environment.

One of the things that makes Rolling Hills so special is the wide variety of opportunities available to our students. From our Multi-Age Program and Performing Arts/Theater Pathway to Performance Academy, MyConnect Academy, and our dedicated parent groups, we are proud to offer programs that support the unique strengths, interests, and talents of every learner.

This year marks the second year of our partnership with The Cotsen Foundation for the Art of Teaching, and we are excited to continue building on the momentum from our first year. Through this partnership, our Cotsen Fellows are engaging in meaningful professional learning focused on strengthening instructional practices and bringing innovative, student-centered strategies into their classrooms. As we continue this work, we look forward to expanding collaboration across our campus and providing high-quality learning experiences that benefit all of our students.

I truly believe that Rolling Hills is a special place because of the incredible partnership between our students, families, and staff. Together, we create a school community where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and supported. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving as your principal and look forward to working alongside you as we make this another outstanding year for our Roadrunners.
