Dear Parents and Guardians:
Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year at Rolling Hills Elementary School. We are proud of our dedicated, experienced staff and enthusiastic learners!
As demands and complexities of teaching children increase, it becomes more evident that we all need to work together to insure that our children reach their potential. We believe that all of us – the school and the community – must work together in an extended family environment to insure success for all our students. We believe it is everyone’s responsibility to empower children with the creative, intellectual, and decision-making skills necessary for them to become academically, socially, physically, and emotionally successful and responsible.
With that in mind, you are invited to be an active participant at Rolling Hills School. Whether you are a classroom volunteer, a member of the PTA, special event participation, or member of one of our school communities, you are encouraged to be involved! Research on schools clearly demonstrates that parent participation in their child’s school coincides with a greater likelihood of academic success for their child.
Joining our staff as the new 4th grade Teacher is Mr. Rudolph Petris, and our new primary special education teacher is Ms. Megan Hansen. Mr. Petris comes to us with over 13 years of teaching experience at the elementary level. He has previously been a GATE teacher and coordinator, is a strong advocate of arts integration across the curriculum and will be a wonderful new advocate and resource for students and staff. Ms. Hansen began at Rolling Hills as a Special Education student teacher that worked with Mr. Williamson throughout the 2015-2016 school year. She spent last year working at Richmond elementary as a TK Special education teacher. We are so excited that she has returned to us. Please join us in welcoming them to Rolling Hills!
Joining our staff as the new office manager is Mrs. Lyndsey Lewis. Mrs. Lewis joins us with a wealth of office experience and a love of children. Please join me in welcoming her to the Rolling Hills family.
It is our desire to keep you informed of all that is taking place at school. Up-to-date and additional information will be sent to you through the weekly Sunday phone call and email message and will appear on our . You will also periodically receive text message reminders about events and activities happening on campus. If you have questions or concerns that arise at any time, please do not hesitate to give your child’s teacher or me an email Juleen_Faur@myfsd.org or a phone call at 714-447-7795. I look forward to having a long and rewarding relationship with you and your family.
With Warmest Regards,
Principal Rolling Hills
